I spend hours a day working on my paintings. When I put my brush to the canvas, I feel as though I am breathing life into these fantastical characters. I’m not “inventing” the characters. Rather, I see myself as allowing the characters to express themselves through my art. To me, this piece is a self-portrait- a take on the task of creating personalities by hand.
