My art has evolved from interrogating the broader existential inquiries of humanity in order to reflect on an equally existential yet highly personal aspect of myself: the relationship that I share with my maternal family from Korea.

This connection between myself and my heritage has, in some ways, always existed as a peripheral influence on my life and continues to shape who I am.

As I continue to explore what it means to be myself, my practice captures the friction and connection between the inherited memories of Korea and my lived reality as an American.
